Friday Night in the ER

So Lisi and her friends in the neighborhood play what they call night games. They were playing Follow the Judge to Court and she was found, and as she was running she tripped over her shoelaces (that we are constantly telling her to tie-- see kids this is why mom's and dad's tell you to tie those shoelaces, you do trip over them). Anyway, she landed on her hand. Of course she kept playing and at about ten to ten she called for a ride home. In she walks with a deformed hand. It looked really strange and swollen. I thought it was dislocated and I called the doctor, and they said she would probably need X-rays so go to the ER. I sent her with a bag of ice to the hospital with daddy, and when she got there, the staff thought it must be broken, so they X-rayed. The ice made the swelling go down and her hand looked more normal, and then the X-rays showed no broken bones. So, the doc said it was sprained and he wrapped it up and sent her on her way. She can take the brace off in 4-5 days. She was happy that she can wear the brace to school because then she can get more attention (especially from the boys).
