Sarah's Texas Trip

So, Sarah has been dying to go back to Texas to see where she was born. She has a fascination with Texas even though she only lived there for 2 months, but we loved it and we always talk about all the fun we had there, so she really wanted to go. Lucky for her, Tim had a conference in Austin, and a really nice Aunt and Uncle that live in Houston that entertained her for a couple of days-- so she could go. She actually said Texas was better than Disneyland, but I think it was because Aunt Carrie was so great with her. It was hard for me to see her go so far away without her mom, but she did great.

These pics are of Barton Springs pool in Zilker Park. We never went swimming there when we lived in Austin because the water was too cold, but it is a fun place to go. She didn't want to ride the train in the park though-- we did that a lot with Lisi, but she was 3 when we moved, so it was a little more her style :-).

We used to love to go to Fresh Choice. It was Lisi's favorite place to eat. Tim said it is much better than Sweet Tomatoes. When we would go to the Arboretum, where Fresh Choice is, we would always go visit the cows there, so Tim made sure he got some pictures of that.

And of course Dell. I never thought I would have ever lived in Texas, but thanks to Dell we did. It took some getting used to, but after a while we loved it-- and we still do. If we ever had to go back, we would be happy to go (although we would be very sad to leave home again, too).

Thanks to Matt, Carrie, and Danny for taking care of her-- although I think Aunt Carrie did all the work. Sarah talks about you all the time now. Thanks.

She was GREAT! It was so much fun to have her. We'd love to have her back anytime. And Lisi and Isabelle too . . . sorry, I'm not volunteering to have Timmy out for a visit by himself yet. :) I miss having someone around who is old enough to make chocolate covered strawberries with and go on the big rides at Splashtown. It was fun getting to know Sarah a little better and have some one on one time.
