Basketball season 2009

Sarah and Lisi both played city basketball this year. They had the same coach, who is a great coach, so we got lucky. They are friends with his daughters, and if you want him, you have to sign up the first second of sign ups-- he is that good. He also coached his son's team, so sometimes we got to help coach the girls' teams. It was lots of fun. Sarah's age has to line up with wristbands, and the girl on the other team who has the same color wristband as you, is the girl you guard. This age is more of a teaching time for the girls than real basketball, so the refs help a lot more than call fouls. It is pretty funny to watch, but Sarah got really good and really enjoyed herself.

Lisi is getting really good, and says basket ball is her favorite sport. She played YW basketball for the first time, and I got to be her coach. It was fun to coach her. She was chosen to play first on her class team at school too.

Tim got us all tickets to a BYU basketball game. They were selling tickets for way cheap for the game, so we decided to go. It was a lot of fun. This was the same game that Timmy got scared by Cosmo in a previous post. It was fun to all be able to go to a sporting event together, and to cheer on our Cougars (we won't talk about the tournament though :-) ).
