Easter Fun
The kids had a fun Easter with an Ellis family Easter egg hunt that miraculously every grandchild was able to attend. We also went to our annual Easter Egg hunt and that was lots of fun. Isabelle won a big prize-- a giant bubble wand :-). Lisi, sporting a new haircut, is feeling too cool for the festivities, and she was able to volunteer at a local Easter Celebration. She was very cold, but had a good time. Sarah, has been sick all week, was finally able to enjoy life by winning her soccer game (with an awesome assist-- soccer at its finest), and the hunts. She has been really having fun with her brother too, teaching him all the best Easter egg hunting skills. Timmy was a very good egg hunter, although he did find a caramel and bite into it-- resulting in hives and a dose of benadryl, fortunately nothing worse. All in all, it was great fun.
On the spiritual side, Lisi and I were able to attend my nieces baptism in the Catholic Church. It was a great service, and we are so happy for Sariah. It was neat to learn about the Easter observance there, and my favorite part was the lighting of the candles. The had a big fire that they blessed and they lit candles to represent the light of Christ. It was really beautiful. Sariah looked beautiful and it was a really neat experience. We were also able to attend Stake conference, and we got a new Stake President. We are so grateful for the service that people do for us. Our former stake president has been in for 10 years (our new pres was his counselor too), and he always challenged us to be a little better. It wasn't always easy to follow his counsel, but we found that with obedience comes many blessings. A good lesson to learn. We were able to hear from some general authorities, and the testimonies of the former, new presidency and their wives. It was great! It is nice to have both the fun and spiritual side of the Holiday.

Love the pic of your mom! Tell her hello from me - it's been so long since I've seen her.
Was that a picture of your dad? Was he able to be there? I thought it was just the sunglasses that made Lisi look different, but now I see she does have a cute new do! Love, Grandma
